Been thinking about the Kansas game tonight, and the corner kick that I tried to shoot directly in the goal.
It was so close……I saw the goalie save it exactly on the goal line!
It would have been a really nice goal to have scored as I was 8 or 10 years old the last time it happened.
Anyway, a great job by Tyrone to be there on the rebound and score for the Sounders.

Been in training camp in Arizona for a week now. We have been running our asses off and we are all a bit tired, but no pain no gain.
Started thinking about the five best football stadiums I ever played at and came up with my personal “top 5″ list that I wanted to share with you.
Hello Freddie. Just discovered your blog. I’m looking forward to your insight, keep them coming!
By the way, you should do some more promotion, because it was merely by chance that I learned about your site here. I’m sure there’s a lot of Sounders fans who’d be interested in this blog but know nothing of it.
Freddie, what a fantastic effort in the KC game. Great poise in beating out the KC defender and then gaining the open space to find Jaqua for the winning goal. Your effort absolutely earned a playoff spot for Sounders FC. You truly deserved the player of the week recognition. In all fqirness to you and your great contribution all season, I just want you to know what an honor it is to have you part of our inaugural season.
Sincerely,
Ryan
Your best match in Green so far. Unbelievable steal in the corner and then to sneak it through to Jaqua past their defender and keeper?
Unreal.
Great stuff Freddie!
Yes, Freddie was all over the place in KC, dominating the opposition. Best play I’ve seen from him all season, and when it’s the most important as well. The Sounders need that higher seed.
It WAS so close. The low trajectory and pace made it difficult for the goalie to defend… and ultimately forced him to come off his line a bit and out of position just enough for Tyrone to knock it in. We were wondering if you were going to try that with the small pitch. You’re due for another goal… I thought that was going to be it.
I love that you started your own blog. It’s nice to hear your from you! You were brilliant in the last game (as usual) Thank you for bringing such a wonderful class of soccer to the US. We are so blessed to have a player like you in Seattle. I hope you’ll be around for many years to come. You’ve made a soccer hooligan out of me, and I thank you for that
Hälsningar från Sverige! Vi saknar dig härborta
Sorry guys for wrong languages! Swedish
Hi Freddie,
Just found your blog last night..
The Kansas City game was a nail biter, but I have faith in the Sounders and knew you would be victorious…Congratulations on making it to the playoffs.. You guys rock!
A big thank you for coming to Seattle…
1st. Im not pretty sure you`re the one writing this stuff… but is really nice you approved a project like this.
2nd. Keep trying those kind of goals… and the time you make it… you´ll remember how it feels when you were 8 o 10 … (i never played football but i believe is the most beautiful thing to score a goal!!) …
3rd. Thank you for the tattoo’s background hahaha i love it!!! =) …
SaludosS!!! =) Chaooo!! (sorry for my BAD english!!)
Freddie I hope it’s you who writes this blog, congratulations and good luck in the playoffs, I am a big fan of yours, I love you very much. Say something about the rumors of a loan transfer to Arsenal in January, I am very anxious to see you back playing in the premier league and walking the streets of Mayfair. kisses. Tania
Is it normal in US-soccer that the defending theme not have players at guarding the posts on corners?
Never seen this kind of defence in europe.
Tjena chefen.
We need som fresh air.
I need to learn Swedish so I can pick up
what the peeps are layin’ down
Daddy-T, even in America we are taught to always defend the posts on corners! That right-side defender for KC was TERRIBLE. Zakuani made runs behind him again and again, and then Freddie made him look so silly he was subbed out at half…
It was also the fault of the goalie to allow a rebound directly in front of the goal. Keller never gives up rebounds like that, he always punches wide.
Great job coming from behind and winning! We had over 150 people packed in the bar all going crazy!
- det hade varit ett minne det!!
that drive you made up the right side to get the ball to jaqua was nothing short of AMAZING, freddie. that was probably the play of the year.
great game from you! hopefully you can help montero mature through all this, i know his confidence gets down at times
