Last night we won against Dallas and I think it was a very good game, but our fans was amazing and it was a day to celebrate all of you. The only thing I can say is that you are world class whatever way you are looking at it!

Talking about the game, I think it is a difficult situation when you have one team fighting for “their life” to make the playoffs and another having already qualified as it is always going to be a little bit in your mind. But we deserved to win and once again proved that we have been playing well all season, and it is good to have the momentum going into the playoffs.

We started the game amazingly with some very good football then Dallas got a goal from a long distance shot that was a bit of a shock to the system because they had nothing before that, but at the same time I knew that we would come back as the whole team had confidence in themselves and kept calm. That also showed later on as we scored two great goals and won the game. I´m really happy that I was able to contribute to both of them.

A great result for the Sounders that we should celebrate, but you might have heard that in the dressing room after the game we hade no real celebrations going on, instead the whole team started to focus on the playoffs.

Thanks again to all of you amazing Sounders fans out there!

//Freddie

    Your world class fans match this world class team. I have NEVER been to a fan appreciation event like that. Sometimes you wonder if the team really knows what the fans go through to support the team through thick and thin but yesterday removed all doubt in my mind. THANK YOU for such a wonderful season and for giving Seattle a team to be proud of once again. “We will follow you wherever you may go”. Bring on Houston! I’ll be there!

    Kul och höra att det går bra! Ingen Svensk kanal som visar dina matcher.. tycker det är dåligt! Jag menar de visar ju varje barcamatch för att Z är där.. Och enligt mig så är du en mer intressant kille.. Don´t get me wrong, jag gillar Z men let´s face it han är ju inte den djupaste killen i världen och är kanske inte den mest artikulära personen heller..
    Sen tänkte jag fråga om du har besökt Aberdeen untanför Seattle där Kurt Cobain växte upp? eller du kanske inte är ett fan?

    Väl mött! André

    Freddie! I’ve watched every game on tv or online, and now I finally was able to buy tickets to see the first playoff game and my first sounders game! I can’t wait to get there and cheer you on at qwest! I played club soccer in washington for most of my life and am bringing along friends who have never watched soccer before so I can’t wait to convert them into real fans! You are awesome!!!

    Congratulations! I´m glad you´re doing so well over there even though you are missed in Europe. Hope you come back soon. Best regards Susanne, Stockholm

    We’re all excited to have you here in Seattle especially because you have been a real presence on the pitch. We won the Open Cup in our first year and now on to the playoffs!

    You have provided good veteran/European leadership and strong play with well-timed passes. Most of all I admire your passion, you bring fire to the team when they need it.

    Bring it to Houston in game 1 and the best fans in the country will be cheering you on, then it’s game 2 in Houston and this time the weather will probably be better.

    thank YOU freddie for all your contributions to the team. While we all know the writing is on the wall about your return to Arsenal, hopefully you do return and continue writing your legend status in MLS. Currently, i think you are possibly THE best player in the MLS. Good luck to you in the playoffs, and thanks for all your contributions to the sounders!

    An absolutely terrific night! The stadium was amazing. After you worked the ball into Evans near post… and he just tapped it over the keepers head for the winning goal… we went crazy! What a moment! Not only was there a hugfest on the pitch, but also in the stands. Can’t wait for Thursday! Keep working it Freddie! Seattle loves you!
