The precedent has been set by many referees. Yellow cards have been awarded for sarcastic clapping to many players. It is a form of dissent which is a yellow card offense. The player should have thought about his actions. Motta's red is a little bit tougher. I agree with you that it shouldn't have been a red card considering the force of the contact. In my opinion though his arm is up at an unnatural height. You do put your arm out to feel for the player but a taller player should be aware of the danger of bringing his hand out that high. Saturday night was proof positive. It seems like every time we get that guy he's on the verge of losing control of the game. You, however, were PHENOMENAL Saturday night!!! I will do it for you; as much as the referee is at fault for mistakenly sending off Motta, Busquets' acting was disgraceful. I feel he knew what he was doing; knowing that Motta was already on a yellow. Im glad Barcelona lost, hopefully Busquets gets suspended for his actions.
